Walls are meant for climbing! ✊🏽 Join us, and Climb the Wall for Palestine! For over 140 days, we have witnessed a live stream of Israel's bombardment and ethnic cleansing of Gaza. Over 38,000 civilians killed (over 23,000 of those being women and children), the destruction of over half of all infrastructure, the forced collapse of the health system, and the heinous restriction on food, water, and power. These atrocities show no sign of relenting. Gaza looks, now, "a different colour from space."We have also been witness to the heightened aggression and oppression of the Apartheid regime Israel is inflicting on the West Bank. In recent months we have seen a sharp rise in civilian killings, restriction of movement, the mass military detention of Palestinians without due process, and the increase of violence and land theft from the illegal settlement programmes. If there was ever a time for the humanity and solidarity of the global climbing community to shine, this is it. We must show up.Climbing is an act of freedom. It's a way for us to embrace the serenity and rush of life. It's also an act of solidarity. We look after each other. We're inclusive. We're in awe of each others' strength. We want to use that strength to climb the wall in solidarity with Palestine, and people from around the world, against the ongoing bombardment and ethnic cleansing of Gaza, and the occupation of Palestine.@climbersforpalestineWill you climb with us? Who are we

A climber in Smith Rock, OR climbing while holding a Palestinian flag that reads Free Palestine

We're a team of climbers from around the world who feel passionately about standing up against the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.We know it can feel hopeless seeing the news and knowing it's been well over 100+ days since the start of this latest escalation, so our aim is to create an environment where climbers can gather with friends, learn more about Palestine and advocate for a ceasefire, fundraise for direct aid to Gaza, all while doing what we do best — climbing!!How are we fundraising?
We'll be using the platform RallyUp to register climbers once the campaign launches. Each climber will have a link they can share with their communities to collect pledges (either a flat amount or an amount per climb or boulder). At the end of the campaign, we'll collect all the funds and distribute them to the following organizations:
- Palestine Children's Relief Fund
- Medical Aid for Palestinians
- Rafah Tents
These are a mix of non-profits and a direct aid fund that have all been vetted by the team as providing impactful resources and support on the ground in Gaza.More questions? Check out the FAQs here, or reach out to [email protected] for more information.

📜 Code of Conduct

We want this to be a space where people can come together to talk and climb together in community. We want you all to feel confident enough to talk about things you’re unsure of — it’s tricky unpacking all parts of a complex, hegemonic narrative, after all. That said, we’ve put together some guidelines on engagement; while we don’t want to police you, we recognise that boundaries help make sure that everyone feels safe and welcome in this space:🤬 We are an anti-fascist, anti-racist community. We won’t tolerate any form of prejudice, whether that's anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism, or misogyny.🙅🏽 On a similar note, do not advocate violence or make threats.🕊️ Be gentle on each other’s level of understanding. We understand that feelings are running very high, but we want this group to be accessible. For us, that’s a critical part of breaking out of the echo chamber. We don’t want anyone to be put off because they’re made to feel inadequate.👨🏼💻 Be as certain as you can be of your sources before you share any information. Spreading false or misleading information can completely undermine the integrity of the group, and the movement as a whole. That said, it’s totally ok to ask about a resource you’re not sure on - we can work through it together.
